The Terrifying Tale of James Magnus confronts characters with the legacy of a twisted and abusive man. They deal with the home in which he murdered his wife and killed himself, but which he never left.
Chapter 3: No Way Out[]
No Way Out reveals the ramifications of suicide, and the anguish that results when a desperate effort to escape life’s problems only binds one to them in the afterlife.
Chapter 4: Roots and Branches[]
Roots and Branches explores the cycle of abuse that results from murder, when people killed in the vicinity of a tree turn its branches into a web that ensnares the dead. Murder begets murder as the tree’s hunger for more victims grows.
Chapter 5: Holy Ghost[]
Holy Ghost illustrates humanity’s lack of faith, and the danger of passion taken too far. Even acts of mercy, generosity and sacrifice, performed for the best of reasons, can keep a soul from its final reward.
