Runes[]
By Ken Cliffe. I smell a rat. Scary.
We Suck[]
Yes, White Wolf is still playing softball, and we still suck. We're currently 1 and 7, but have the scars to prove that we've been trying. In our doubleheader, layout goddess Kathy Ryan took two wild balls to the nugget and warehouse wench Louvie Locklear suffered a near broken toe. In our infamous mud game, I slide into third through three inches of muck to discover a bed of gravel and broken glass (well, gravel anyway) and bled freely. Hopefully we'll run pictures, to capture our stupidity in full color.
From the Pack[]
A lot of commentary from you on things we've published, good and bad. We're a little scared.
Oops Department[]
Back in issue #46 we published an adventure for Inner City Games' Fuzzy Heroes called The Assault of the Rampaging Dust Bunnies. Fuzzy Heroes is a game designed for kids and kids at heart. Because the article was run in White Wolf Magazine, we presented art more suited to our image than Fuzzy Heroes'. The game is still for kids and our depiction of it does not signify a change of direction for Inner City. Apparently we just had disturbed childhoods - Ken
Industry Wired[]
By Teeuwynn. Our industry spy has been hard at work. Find out what kinds of scary goodies are in store for October.
GenCon![]
"...Highlights of the con included the siege of Wizards of the Coast by frenetic Magic: the Gathering and Jyhad Deckmaster fans. [Fortunately most of the brave folks at WotC survived the experience relatively unscathed, although rumors continue to circulate that M:TG creator Richard Garfield was torn apart in fans' frenzied search for unique magic cards!]
Saturday morning saw lines at White Wolf's booth as eager World of Darkness fans acquired the first glow-in-the-dark copies of Wraith: The Oblivion..."
Wolfin' Around[]
Out this month from White Wolf is Elysium, a Vampire supplement describing elder-level storytelling (including info on how to create and play elder characters). Not to be outdone, the latest Werewolf supplement, Who's Who Among the Werewolves, is a Children of the Inquisition-style supplement that details important Garou in the World of Darkness. The first setting book for Wraith: The Oblivion reveals the hidden, festering world of the dead that is Necropolis: Atlanta. [Hmmm....sounds like downtown Atlanta to me! I wonder if even the dead can escape the dread, omnipresent Olympics '96 advertising onslaught?]
Howling at the Moon[]
Terry offers insight into being gay and a gamer. Your letters of response will appear in 50, so start writing now. "Queer as a Three-Sided Die" by Terry Amthor.
Beyond the Parents' Basement[]
By Chris W. McCubbin. A master of lexicon and a completely anal person, Chris takes a look at what camp truly is. Is gaming truly camo, or do we want to look that closely at ourselves.
Roleplaying Hoaxes and You[]
By Gregory W. Detwiler, Art by Brian LeBlanc. There ae all kinds of ways to create mystery, suspense and horror, but one of the best is hoax. Watch out for Shaggy and Scoobie.
Feature Review: Bloodshadows[]
Reviewed by James Estes. West End's MasterBook System is here, and Bloodshadows is one of the games that uses it. What's this unique horror/pulp/fantasy game like?
Out of Character[]
By James A. Moore. If you read even a little horror fiction, you've probably heard of Rick Hautala, one of the creepiest horror writers around. Well, Jim interviewed him and Rick was scared! Interviewee: Rick Hautala.
Last Stand[]
By Ken Carpenter, Art by ? (Cannot find any signature). Ken breaks down and discusses one of his pet games TSR's Battlesystem. Miniatures makers seem to be shifting to 15mm model armies, and Ken suggests ways to adapt.
Monsters We Are...[]

Corrupted by the Dark[]
By Steve Berman, Art by ? (Cannot find any signature). Sure Call of Cthulhu is packed with horrific stuff, but how can you truly achieve that sense of decay? Steve Berman offers some suggestions, and some discomforting insights into his twisted mind.
The Silicon Dungeon[]
By Jim Trunzo. Jim looks at a frightening computer game, a couple of cool ones... and a kids game?! That's definitely the scariest thing this issue has to offer!
Reviews of Inherit the Earth, Call of Cthulhu: Shadow of the Comet, Warlords II Scenario Builder and Kingmaker.
Wraith Errata[]

The Wolfie Awards (In Color)[]
By Chris McDonough (Sorry about the handwriting). Remember the Wolfies, the contest we held for the best and worst of '93? Well, we handed out the awards at this summer's DragonCon and have the pictures to prove it. We blame it all on the tequila.
