Victor Girard is a Toreador Anarch residing in Los Angeles in the Final Nights.

Biography[]

A born salesman, Victor Girard spent his mortal life peddling various wares and engaging in land deals. In the early 1930s, Girard suddenly disappeared amidst multiple failing business prospects. In reality, he had been given the Embrace by Don Sebastian Juan Dominguez, as the Don required someone to oversee the business climate of Los Angeles. Girard persisted in this duty for the next twelve years, until the Anarch Revolt purged the Camarilla from L.A.

Though he had been a major target for the Anarchs during the revolt, Girard succeeded in avoiding their wrath and went into hiding for nearly a decade before he contacted Jeremy MacNeil in 1952. Offering his services to the Anarchs, Girard promised watch over the press and to protect the Masquerade, something the Free States desperately needed. While reluctant, MacNeil took up Girard on his offer and since then Girard has been the liaison for the Free States to the media.

More recently, Girard has been silently plotting a return to the seat of power he once had as the right-hand of the leader of L.A., or something equally as good. Girard figures he can either wait for a prominent Anarch to declare themselves Prince, or let the Free States collapse and wait for the return of the Camarilla. To achieve his ends, Girard frequently uses his contacts in both the Free States and the Camarilla against each other while manipulating the press, and his plan is working.

Generation[]

In Los Angeles By Night, Girard's generation is incorrectly listed as eighth generation. His sire's generation is also incorrect in the sourcebook. Christopher Houghton is Girard's grandsire, and is a vampire of fifth generation.
