Valkenberg Foundation is a supplement for Werewolf: The Apocalypse tells the story of the Questing Pack, a group of lost Garou pups who attempt to find other pups before madness takes them.

Legends of the Garou: Shadow of the Wolf[]

Selected journal entry of Dr. Leopold Valkenburg. He attempts to aid Baron von Kulk in unlocking his repressed Garou heritage, but discovers that the baron is possessed by a malevolent spirit. Valkenburg manages to drive away the spirit, but in doing so earns the enmity of a pack of Red Talons led by Dark Blood Gushing.

Background Information & Trivia[]

  • This book was reprinted in Werewolf Chronicles Volume 1.
  • Page 27 has a sentence cut-off (Missing text) under the Refusal section, "She bids the pack take".
  • Valkenburg Foundation (along with Werewolf: The Wild West) seems to have been partly inspired from S.P. Somtow's novel, 'Moon Dance' (1989).
  • Samuel Haight learned about the Ritual of Sacred Rebirth from a cult in India. The Skin Dancers are never named in the book and wouldn't appear until The Chaos Factor.
  • Playtesters credited in the book include: Les Brooks, Alan Bryden, Anne Merrit, Sam Shirley and Jennifer Starling.
  • A Word from White Wolf mentions the hiring of Michelle Prahler to the production department.
