Old Hiran, born Henry Grange, is the leader of the Margravate of the Brim in the freehold of the Grove.
Overview[]
An Ogre who escaped alongside Jack White and Sister Solaris, Old Hiran once was their motley-mate. Unlike those two, he greatly mistrusted the entire notion of the Court system, a belief helped along by the persistent tension between Red Ferry and Shepherd’s Claim. As such, he drifted from the others.
By now, Hiran has risen to a position of great influence within the Margravate of the Brim; his recruitment among other Courtless in the area has rendered the entitlement far stronger than it would otherwise have been. As such, the Winter Court has been discreetly seeking out ways to remove the Ogre from the picture, before the Margravate has the chance to irreparably damage the Courts’ hold on the freehold.
