Forged by a Queen of the Moon Court of the Grove, Ashley Grey, the Contracts of the Fleeting Moon focus on the Court’s emotion, Disgust.
Abilities[]
An Eye for Loathing:
To the Moon’s children, who are so well versed in disgust, it is a simple matter to find what nauseates a target.
Prerequisites: None
Cost: 1 Glamour
Dice Pool: Wits + Mantle (Moon)
Action: Instant
Catch: The caster consumes a spoiled food or drink item.
Roll Results
Dramatic Failure: The information the changeling receives is, unbeknownst to her, false.
Failure: The clause fails.
Success: The changeling learns one disgust of the target.
Exceptional Success: The changeling learns two disgusts of the target.
A Shifting Eye:
Once a Moon courtier knows what a mark finds disgusting, it is an easy jump to altering the target of that disgust.
Prerequisites: Mantle (Moon) 1 or Court Goodwill (Moon) 3
Cost: 2 Glamour
Dice Pool: Manipulation + Mantle (Moon) vs Target’s Composure
Action: Instant
Catch: The initial source of disgust is a coworker of the target.
Roll Results
Dramatic Failure: The target’s disgust remains unbendingly on the original subject. Any attempt to alter it for the rest of the scene automatically fails.
Failure: The clause fails.
Success: The caster directs any present disgust in the target from one subject to another. The caster may be the new target. After the fact, it is apparent that the shift was not natural.
Exceptional Success: The target thinks that the shift in disgust was entirely natural.
Cringe Away:
It is rather difficult to socialize with someone whom you find repellant. This clause takes advantage of that squeamishness.
Prerequisites: Mantle (Moon) 2 or Court Goodwill (Moon) 4
Cost: 3 Glamour
Dice Pool: Intimidation + Mantle (Moon) – Target’s Socialize
Action: Instant
Catch: The caster forces herself to vomit. The resultant nausea leaves her facing a -1 penalty to all actions for 10 – Stamina minutes.
Roll Results
Dramatic Failure: The target’s disgust with the caster acts as an impetus to drive her manipulations onward. She gains +2 to social maneuvering rolls against the caster.
Failure: The clause fails.
Success: The caster takes on the face of one of the target’s disgusts. Any of their attempts in social maneuvering against the caster face a penalty equal to the caster’s successes, up to a maximum of -5. As a drawback, however, the caster faces the same penalty toward the target. This lasts for the rest of the scene.
Exceptional Success: The caster faces no such penalty.
Mutability:
Utilizing the power of Disgust endemic to the Moon Court, the caster warps her own body so as to better fit the situation.
Prerequisites: Mantle (Moon) 3 or Court Goodwill (Moon) 5
Cost: 3 Glamour + X Willpower
Dice Pool: Mantle (Moon) + Willpower Spent
Action: Instant
Catch: The caster is in conflict with a Sun courier.
Roll Results
Dramatic Failure: The caster's Attributes maximum is reduced by 1 for the rest of the scene.
Failure: The caster's Attributes are as normal.
Success: Shift Attribute dots around equal to successes; maxima act as though the caster is of a Wyrd one higher, and shifted dots must be within the same grouping (e.g. Strength → Dexterity or Stamina, but not Strength → Wits). Effects last one scene.
Exceptional Success: Maxima, instead, act as though Wyrd were two higher.
Down With the Sickness:
At the height of its power, the Moon Court can render a victim nigh immovable with the sheer force of her revulsion.
Prerequisites: Mantle (Moon) 4
Cost: 4 Glamour
Dice Pool: Manipulation + Mantle (Moon) – Target’s Stamina
Action: Instant
Catch: The subject that affects the target is already one of his disgusts.
Roll Results
Dramatic Failure: In spite of the revulsion that strikes the target, she draws up her fortitude, avoiding any penalty and gaining a point of Willpower.
Failure: Nothing happens.
Success: The target is struck by a sudden sense of nausea for successes turns centered around a particular subject. Attempts to act in relation to the subject within that time frame require the expenditure of a point of Willpower.
Exceptional Success: The revulsion is non-subject focused, instead acting as a blanket penalty for the clause’s duration.
