Ugallu are one of the Families of Beasts, representing nightmares of Exposure. They often take the form of flying monsters such as rocs, gryphons or dragons, and stalk their vulnerable prey from above. This gives them the nickname "Raptors." [1] However, not all Ugallu take on flying forms; some approach the idea of "exposure" differently, and instead their Horror reflects the idea of always being watched. [2]
The Ugallu Birthright allows them to uncover things that are hidden without a roll or Satiety expenditure.[1] Raptors can find common ground for kinship with nearly anything, with the exception of Sin-Eaters -- there's no sky in the Underworld. [2]
Ugallu frequently pursue the Retreat Inheritance, and rarely the Merger, as they would rather their Horror be free to fly than bound to earth.
