  • This softcover version of the rulebook with an exciting new cover by Christopher Moeller was made available at half the price of the original at $14.95, to try to draw more players into the game.
  • The contents are nearly identical to the hardcover version, with the exception of the addition of "The Story So Far," an appendix which explained backstory and metaplot details uncovered in previous books, in order to help new players catch up to the "present" timeline in Trinity. There is also some information mentioned in this section which cannot be found elsewhere. It's worth noting that this section makes reference to future books in the series, including the Trinity Storytellers Guide, which was never produced.
