The Trinity was a coalition of three vampiric political factions that ruled over Constantinople during much of its history, led by the Triumvirate composed of the powerful methuselahs: Michael, Antonius and Dracon.
Overview[]
The Triumvirate was an alliance between three powerful methuselahs and their broods under a common Dream. The Triumvirate mirrored the christian Trinity, with each member having different duties. The three rulers of Constantinople were:
- Antonius of the Ventrue (Antonian Ventrue), representing the Father;
- Michael of the Toreador (Michaelites), representing the Son;
- Dracon of the Tzimisce (Obertus), representing the Holy Spirit.
These Cainites and their offspring dominated the Byzantine night, but Constantinople found room for vampires of all clans.
After Antonius had been destroyed and the Dracon had left Constantinople, their places within the Trinity were filled by their descendants Gesu and Caius. This Second Trinity, however, only lasted briefly.
