- Tommy Flayton is a loose reference to reality TV celebrity chef Bobby Flay.
- Malkavian characters talking to him may use Dementation to convince him he's eating maggots. This action (and the accompanying dialogue) is a reference to the 1987 vampire film The Lost Boys, where Kiefer Sutherland's character David Powers does this to Jason Patric's Michael Emerson. The Lost Boys was an inspiration for the original creation of the Malkavians in 1991.
