Thoth is the Pesedjet god of language and magic.
Overview[]
Thoth is an expert on the power of words, and always says exactly what he means. He speaks precisely but quickly, and his words, like his train of thought, can be difficult to follow. He is a great keeper of secrets, and invented magic and record-keeping. He can answer questions about events that happened thousands of years ago — if he can find his notes.
Thoth can be found in academic roles, obviously, but he's also been a stage magician, a bookseller, and a novelist. He prefers to work behind the scenes instead of taking center stage; his plans and schemes are nestled in layers of misdirection, and just when you think you've found the bottom, you realize there's another thing you've missed.
Thoth's Scions are also excellent planners. Analytical and witty, they keep excellent records and tell excellent stories. They often take an interest in computers, as it combines language and the creation of systems.
