Thor is the Norse god of thunder and a member of the Aesir.
Overview[]
Thor is an army unto himself: his hammer can shatter mountains, he's strong enough to lift the Midgard Serpent and thirsty (or stubborn) enough to drink down the ocean. But his temper and his pride make him as much a danger to his allies as his enemies. Nevertheless, Odin trust Thor as his chief enforcer among the gods. Thor is enormous, with red hair and blue eyes light lightning; he travels the world in a chariot drawn by goats, and his regular companion, Thjálfi, is the fasted runner in the nine worlds.
Today Thor can be found working many physically demanding jobs: a miner, an electrician, or a bouncer. He is also, unsurprisingly, drawn to things that involve loud noises and explosions, like rock music. He gives off the impression of a dumb, passionate oaf with a big heart and a crushing handshake; his temper is like a summer cloudburst, quick to fire and quick to pass. He's unfortunately susceptible to addictions of different kinds, however, which adds a level of unpredictability to his behavior.
Thor has many Scions in the World, but he's less generous with Birthrights than other members of his pantheon. He himself is a warrior god, not a maker of things, and he's had limited luck persuading others to make things for his children.
