Third Moon is a fertility festival of the Middle Kingdom.
Overview
The celebrations of this Moon Festival include Chi'ng Ming: "Pure Brightness," a celebration of spring and fertility in China. Many people visit with their ancestors and it's customary to plant a tree. In some places the celebrations are raucous while in others they are quiet. Whichever way it is celebrated, Yugen is generated. The Birthday of Hsi Wang Mu: Mother of the Western Paradise, is also celebrated and numerous visits to temples are planned.
