Is this really a path of the Road of Sin? In other parts of the Wiki it is listed as a path of the Road of Heaven 94.234.51.16 16:39, July 27, 2017 (UTC)

These other parts are mistaken. Check the references. Russel Hammond (talk) 16:54, July 27, 2017 (UTC)
Its listed by onyx path as a variant of the road of heaven centered around druidism / paganism. The road of sin is about self indulgence and that theme is lacking for the eightfold wheel. I think people confuse the paths parent due to its listing under "Other" right after the road of sin in the V20 core book.

The list you found in the Onyx Path website is irrelevant. What is relevant is the final version of this content (that was published in the books). Vampire: The Dark Ages 20th Anniversary Edition page 137 says it is a variant of the Road of Sin, so that's what matters to us. Russel Hammond (talk) 19:45, July 19, 2018 (UTC)
Actually in the book its listed under "Other Paths" not as a path of the road of sin. Its pretty clear from reading about it that its not a path of the road of sin, it misses all the halmarks. The link from Onxy path does indeed list it with its intended parent. Otherwise point to me where in the text it clearly states its on the road of sin to contradict the post on Onyx path discussing the actual revisions with the writers where they clearly make it a child of the road of heaven.
Actually, no. It's pretty clear that the "other paths" refer to other minor paths of the Road of Sin. That section of the book contains exclusively paths of the Road of Sin. First we have the path of pleasure, then the path of the devil, the path of screams and, finally, two other minor paths (path of the eightfold wheel and path of the watchful gods). The paths of the Road of Heaven are listed between pages 119-121 of the V20 Dark Ages. However, I do believe that what you're saying makes sense, and maybe you should adopt that approach in your games, but in the wiki we have to go by the book. But hey, we can always write a Trivia section making a reference to the Onyx Path website and the controversy it caused. PS: remember to sign your comments using four "~" (tildes) or the signature button. I don't think that's true. On page 119 (under Via Caeli) it reads: "These differing religious traditions inform how Cainites on the Road of Heaven make sense of their Embrace. Christian Cainites liken themselves to Job, seeing themselves as subjects of a cosmic test of character. Muslim Cainites see the Embrace as a call to destroy the servants of Shaitan. Jewish Cainites find the Embrace an invigorating call to scholarship, a new avenue for insight into the nature of God. Druidic Cainites reason that serving the Great Balance requires darkness as well as light. And a servant of the old Roman Gods believes that she had somehow offended one of them and must strive to regain that god’s favor." It's quite explicit and not sufficiently contradicted by what I would guess to be

poor/hasty editing. Both Eightfold Wheel and Watchful Gods should be changed accordingly. Dietrich1913 (talk) 12:07, 28 July 2021 (UTC) I am very strongly with Dietrich on this one. Page 119 of V20DA directly mentions Path of the Eightfold Wheel and Path of Watchful Gods' ethics and general approach under the Road of Heaven, as does she original Onyx Path preview. It's an obvious absurdity to list it with the Road of Sin alone given the context, and a legalistic interpretation of the rules doesn't help clarify matters. Furthermore, every facet of the Road of Sin contradicts the ethics of those Paths. Finally, the section headed "Other Paths" immediately goes into a discussion of non-Abrahamic religions, which seems to me to be intended to belong with those descriptions under Road of Heaven. At the very least, someone decided on a last minute switch of Roads and moved the text, but didn't change it to match under Road of Heaven or Road of Sin, leaving the confusion. As a compromise, how about all pages referring to these Paths note the discussion in a Trivia section, with the Paths listed under both Roads with a "see Trivia" note to clarify.
