Should the original members of the council not have their generation change to 8th/9? The ritual used to turn the inner council into the first tremere vampires, requiered them to eat 2 poor earlier embraced apprentices of the 8th generation (they where sired by Roland, who was sired by Vladimir Rustovich). Unless the ritual changed the generation, then the original Tremere would either be of the 9th or 8th generation.

Theoretically you are right. But the fact is that first Tremere to be Embraced ever directly after the ritual - Epistatia, see House of Tremere, p.83 - is of the 6th Generation, with no mention of Diablerie in her biography afterwards. Since we do not know how the potion worked and this is the only genealogical reference we have directly after the ritual, they are assumed to have been directly of the fifth generation.Sharth (talk) 23:56, December 14, 2016 (UTC)
I'm still fairly new to VtM, but I'm a big fan of revised edition. But this one sentence in the Core Rules about Tremere screams out for more details:
"By clan law, all neonate Tremere must drink the blood of the clan’s seven elders when they are created."
I understand that WW tried to leave a lot of room for flexibility and GM input, but really? This is begging for just a little more detail. Could we consider adding it to this wiki page?
What happens, do the 7 spend half their time putting out blood for the rest of the clan's initiations around the globe? Incredibly unlikely. So they perform ritual magic that makes some blood become the blood of the 7? Or they convert wine to blood? What?
Could we not provide at least SOME basis for GM's to run with on this glaring weakness? I googled around and didn't find anyone discussing it much. Seriously absolutely every GM didn't start out thinking "WTAF?" on this one?
