So on the page for Jamal, it says he became Eldest this year after Sha'hiri committed suicide. On Sha'hiri's page it's written that he and Jamal fought and Jamal killed him in 1496. Is this a version difference or just a continuity goof?
Per Clanbook: Assamite Revised p.26, Sha'hiri and Jamal changed positions after the Du'at found Sha'hiri guilty of humbling the Clan at Thorns. Sha'hiri charged Jamal with redeeming the Clan and Jamal diablerized him ("stripped him from the blood"). Since the Jamal article is C&P'd directly from his entry in the same book (on p. 95), and none of the sources given in the Sha'hiri article mention combat in remarks to the succession, this was likely a figure of speech by the previous author and should be changed.
