Stormcat

The Stormcat possessing a stray.

The Stormcat is a once-mighty servant of Grandfather Thunder, most often in his aspect as Vahagn the straw-thief.

Overview[]

The Stormcat is a Jaggling spirit who, although a servant of Thunder, primarily relates to the Umbral reflection of cats. She herself claims that in her glory days in millennia past, she "shamed the sphinxes, haunted the dreams of tigers." Despite her diminished stature, the Stormcat still has many of the world-warping powers of a true force to be reckoned with.

Prior to her (seemingly voluntary) binding to the Broad Brook caern, she was a spirit of the wild freedom of the storm, looking down with divine pity upon her Weaver-sworn cousins in cables and wires.

She was one of the two Guardian Spirits of the Broad Brook Sept prior to its destruction, and frequently aided the surviving members in dealing with subsequent threats in the area despite her reduced spiritual power. Stormcat survived the Battle of Graves Farm, while the Falcon-of-Doors did not. She served as a liaison between the remaining Garou and prospective Patron Spirits, bringing them in contact with one another, and also directly offered to teach them the destructive wrath of her levinbolt Gift, provided that the pupil in question was a Shadow Lord in service to Vahagn.

If Eater-of-Names' plan to destroy the Broad Brook caern in 2024 succeeded, even though he would not have been alive at that point to witness it, the caern's destruction annihilated the Stormcat as well, in addition to the Answering Tiger that was at that point similarly tied to the caern. Alternatively, if the Broad Brook Garou attempted to turn the Tiger's own power against itself, the Stormcat was consumed by the Tiger as it devoured the caern. From within, the Stormcat was able to peel it inside out, seizing control of it and making it a mere toy in the hands of Vahagn. She spread its powers outward across the world, now turned to the service of the Garou.
