Steed's Pond is the spirit of a pond that lies near a burned-down old mansion.[1]

A beautiful lake fed by a small creek but lacking an outlet, Steed's Pond is rumored to accept offerings in exchange for rewards — specifically, granting portents of the future.[1][2] As a stationary being, the Pond is not capable of hunting on its own. Should it go hungry, it will send out minions in the form of water horses, which seek out and drown victims.[2] As such, locals have formed a council to find and murder people as needed.[2]
