The Sons of Liberty is a motley and secret society in Boston dedicated to making the city a stronghold for commoner kithain once again.
Overview[]
The Sons of Liberty was created by Margaret Murphy during the Accordance War and was modeled on the original mortal group of the same name, holding many of the same principles they avowed. Their main desire is to see Boston once again a city ruled by Commoners and they speak out very vocally against the local Duke and his rulership of the city. Their second purpose is to keep The Fool's Gambit out of noble clutches as it is their opinion that the tavern was formed for everyone, to stand as a middle ground, and they deny the idea that a liege may hold it for their own uses. Some of the more radical members would like a rule saying all nobles are banned from the freehold.
The group is loosely organized and if anyone is considered the leader it would be Margaret, the owner of The Fool's Gambit. The Sons often hold meetings at the bar to discuss strategies for subverting the Duke's rule. While membership is not restricted to commoners, most of the members hold no titles and most do not voice their affiliation with the Sons, though many are known to be active in the society.
