The Society of Nidhogg were a Shadow Lord secret society camp. They were utterly crushed as a camp by Revised Edition, with the only known reminding member left being the infamous Nightmaster.
Overview[]
This mystic society gains power by studying the elemental forces of darkness. By their study of weather magic, they gain a greater communion with Grandfather Thunder.
However, their fanaticism is so extreme that they also claim that sunlight itself is a threat to the forces of Thunder. As such, they gain a gradual revulsion to sunlight and may ultimately seek to plunge the world into eternal darkness.
It is rumored that this Society secretly works with the Lasombra clan of the Sabbat, yet others claimed that they worked against their Shadow Lord brethren in defense of Vlad Tepes of the Tzimisce. As there are many conflicting accounts of what transpired between the Shadow Lords and the armies of the Dracul, this rumor is even more suspicious. The Bringers of Light detest the followers of Nidhogg, and many Lords who value their Balkan homelands are disgusted with these traitors.

Revised Tribebook[]
As with the Masks, these Lords once wielded a fair bit of power within the tribe. They worshipped the night, made sacrifices to Grandfather Thunder, and even made unholy alliances with some of the Lord's most hated vampire allies. Some claim they hoped to plunge the world into eternal darkness, while others go so far as the indicate they wanted to hasten the coming Apocalypse. Either way, Gaia was the least of their concerns, and they were a blight on the tribe. As the Lords became more organized in the wake of Russia's liberation and the Margrave's rise in status, they were crushed, stamped out utterly. Those few who escaped public condemnation faced the wrath of the Judges of Doom. From time to time the tribe hears that someone or the other has started practicing those dark rituals once again, but none of those reports ever proves to be substantial.
If you encounter any such beings, alert your elders immediately so that we might send them exactly where they belong.

All Shadow Lords understand the power of darkness, but none so deeply as the members of this secretive, mystic camp. So strong is their fanaticism that they claim that sunlight itself is a threat to the forces of Thunder, and seek to plunge the world into eternal darkness (the better to carry out their tribe's rise to power unfettered by Helios' unyielding rays). The official tribal word on this camp is that it has been eradicated due to possible associations with vampires and other creatures of the Wyrm; some believe, however, that they have merely slipped back into their beloved darkness to regroup.
