Slander is a member of the Masquers Guild and the epitome of the Anonymae.
Overview[]
Slander has no identifiable goals, opinions or loyalties beyond the Guild. Slander has no distinctive calling cards or techniques. Slander is simply the best at whatever he does, and when he acts, every Masquer just knows it was him. Probably because if anyone else pulled off such amazing and elegant acts of larceny, murder, sabotage or spycraft, they'd simply have to brag about it. But not Slander.
No one has to seek out Slander, because Slander always comes to them, suggesting he has access to high levels of Fatalism. His fees are high, and he only accepts payment in Pathos, though a sufficiently interesting case might merit a discount. According to legend, he's been hired by everyone from Deathlords to newly-reaped Lemurs at one time or another.
Unlike some Anonymae, Slander is definitely a single wraith and not a group acting under a shared identity. He's been active for about a century, and pays strict attention to his reputation.
