In this futuristic city, the True Fae rule from comfortable towers, where every need is met by shining machines. Even war is leisurely to them — they never need to leave their creature comforts, leading from afar while their servants spill blood for them.
Those who serve the Others have circlets welded to their flesh; these circlets directly connect to the victim’s neural network, allowing for easy punishment and reward in the form of phantom pains and pleasures. The servants can move freely, permitted that they never leave their assigned areas — should they do so, the circlet activates. Escape requires that the Fairest somehow remove it from them or bear with the agony until leaving the range of their master.
