The Seventh Moon is the moon of the Hungry Ghosts in the Middle Kingdom.
Overview[]
This Moon Festival lasts from the 15th to the 30th of October. The offerings, including burning effigies of money, food, & material possessions; placing candles in paper boats and floating them down stream; & carrying lotus blossom lamps through the streets, are meant to honor the dead, as are the feasts set out for the family ancestors. These festivals only generate Yin Chi but the ghosts and hsien alike accept the offering made.
