Schism War

The Schism War was the civil war fought within the Order of Hermes that resulted in the destruction of the druidic magi of House Diedne. The war began in 1002, when magi of House Tremere accused the Diedne of using human sacrifice in their magic. The Order soon declared a Wizards' War against the Diedne. By the year 1012, the Diedne had been wiped out. Some of their magical traditions were confiscated by the surviving Houses, notably the Tremere, Merinita, and (eventually) Ex Miscellanea.
