Samantha Merrain was the Prince of the Twin Cities.
Biography[]
Samantha Merrain was a Toreador Elder whom had reigned as Prince over the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St. Paul for the last century. While her exact age and generation were closely guarded secrets, according to Cecily Bain, Prince Merrain "came over from Ireland a long time ago" and she was "maybe older than fairy tales".
Opinions on Prince Merrain varied depending on which side of the Mississippi River they occupied: the Camarilla of St. Paul (particularly her fellow Roses) viewed her as a beloved protector of arts and culture. The more Anarch-aligned Kindred of Minneapolis, however, tended to see her as little more than a spoiled, vapid tyrant. Regardless, Merrain and her Court by all accounts had managed to keep the Twin Cities fairly stable, keeping the peace even as other domains fell to either internal strife or the assaults of the Second Inquisition.
Naturally, that peace didn't last. In 2021, Prince Merrain was decapitated by Calder Wendt and sent to the Final Death.
