Samantha Alexander is an Imbued Hunter of the Defender creed who appeared in the console game Hunter: The Reckoning. She operated on Hunter-net under the name "cop380," the second user with that name after cop90.
Biography[]
Samantha was often bullied as a child, which motivated her to learn to defend herself and others. She joined the police out of a desire to keep helping others and was instrumental in bringing Nathaniel Arkady to justice. As a favor to her mentor, Detective Walt Harris, she attended Arkady's execution at Ashcroft Penitentiary, and witnessed the revenge of the wraiths that haunted the prison. At this moment, she was imbued by the Messengers and became a Hunter.
Background Information[]
Samantha Alexander didn’t come from a broken home. Loving and caring people always surrounded her. When she entered the Police academy after college, she had her parent’s full support. Samantha was picked on as a young child because of her mixed descent. Always singled out for being different, she learned to defend herself. Becoming a Detective was possibly the worst thing for her though. She was able to see firsthand that the bullies she put away were either right back on the street or quickly replaced by new ones. She quickly became unsatisfied wither work and became a PI specializing in lost or abducted children. She finally felt like she directly protecting the most vulnerable citizens in American society, and in her new work, found satisfaction. When her old friend Det. Walt Harris asked for her to attend the execution of Nathaniel Arkady in Ashcroft, she could not refuse him. That day however, she saw what no one else was able to accept. She saw the unliving nightmare that was Ashcroft penitentiary, and she watched as Walt Harris, a man who was like a second father to her, tumbled into a Delirium of denial and was driven insane by the events of that day. She carried him out of that hellhole and helped the other imbued protect the innocents and shut down the Prison.
As a child, Samantha was often singled out for being different. Unwilling to bow to adversity, she learned to defend herself both mentally and physically. And when the bullies moved on to easier targets, Samantha defended those kids as well. She has never been able to look away when anyone needed help. Samantha has spent the last few years focusing her efforts on the younger victims of supernatural creatures. She's discovered that creatures who masquerade as humans often take in children under the guise of foster parents and then twist and abuse them for their own ends. Samantha has made it a personal quest to seek out and eliminate these supernatural threats to innocents.
