S. K. Bhurano was the quantakinesis Proxy and founder of the Chitra Bhanu.
Biography[]
Bhurano was a prominent Bombay-based psychologist when she was summoned to Luna to become one of the Proxies. Unlike the other Proxies, however, she was fully possessed by a Doyen, in order to directly monitor the rare quantakinetics. Rebecca Bue Li, Bolade Atwan and Giuseppe del Fuego suspected near the end that something was unusual about Bhurano, but did not learn the full truth.[1]
Collaborating with Matthieu Zweidler, Bhurano laid crucial groundwork for the study of noetic science, as well as leading research into Aberrant Syndrome and quantum Taint. By 2107, rumors emerged that Bhurano's order was "soft on Aberrants," including sightings of known minor Aberrants near Chitra Bhanu facilities. Bhurano's last public appearance came in 2109 at the first-ever Noetic Conference. Shortly thereafter, "proof" of the quantakinetics' corruption emerged, leading to the Chitra Bhanu Purge.[2] This was all engineered by the Doyen, who were becoming increasingly uneasy with the direction of the order's research. While Bhurano was slain in the purge, the Doyen possessing her slipped away.[1]
