Reynard Cassel is a rogue Ravnos of New York City and the sire of Kali.
Biography[]
He was the mastermind of a blood trafficking operation in New York City, commanding his own coterie with his childer and others. He made sure they never failed with his obsessive preparedness has pulling them out of the fire more than once. At some point, he became fixated on the Antediluvians like and asked the Setite High Priest Elie Sansaricq for knowledge regarding ancestry, power and blood. His focus on business relations waned significantly and his interests in Clan Ravnos history increased greatly. He was blood bonded to the powerful Vritra and was used as her pawn. He became associated with selling rare blood, mortal trafficking, breaching the Masquerade, corroborating with the SAD, arms trade and even diablerie. Following Vritra's orders, he helps create the Hunter Offensive and equips them with heavy weaponry to fight the Camarilla and kill Thin-blooded on the streets. He worked with Vritra for over a year, also helping to ferry many mortals to her sailing enclave.
Eventually, Reynard disappeared leaving his childe Kali to deal with the afterblow. He was brought to the top of the Circulatory System's shit list for engaging in activities that attracted the Special Affairs Department. The Camarilla tried to use his childe to draw him out, but failed. When she was released, Reynard came to her and invited her to join him in a heist to steal a blood vial of the Ravnos Antediluvian, held by the Second Inquisition. He was able to break Vritra's blood bond.
Along with Vritra's Lasombra thugs, they were able to retrieve the blood vial but Reynard turns on his childe. As he flees, Reynard is intercepted and severely beat up by the Lasombra. Kali intervenes and his ghoul hound is able to destroy Tharmas. However, Kali takes the blood vial and leaves him dying as the Second Inquisition agents approach. He was either destroyed from his wounds or by the Inquisition agents.
