The Requiem is the condition of being Kindred: the state of unlife, and the vampire's role in the All Night Society of the Damned. The Requiem is often contrasted with the Masquerade, the false "life" that each vampire builds up around themselves in mortal society as they cling to whatever remains of their Humanity.
