Reaving is a process of stealing Glamour from a Freehold
Overview[]
While usually one must be given permission by the owner to receive the Glamour of a freehold, it is possible to steal it. Much like Ravaging a mortal, Reaving causes permanent damage to the freehold. The owner of a freehold may also Reave his or her own hearth in an attempt to gain more than their daily allotment. Do do this the Reaver must be in the presence of the Balefire and call upon their own Banality. Removing too much, and the process cannot be controlled, reduces the ability of the freehold to give Glamour, effectively reducing its level. A botch on the process will automatically lower the level of the freehold.
High King David Ardry has strictly outlawed reaving as the destruction of a freehold is considered one of the worst crimes one of the Kithain can commit.
