War of the Amazon was the fourth card set for Rage produced by White Wolf. In response to the over-printing problem it faced with the previous card sets, White Wolf produced only enough of this set to meet pre-orders, a move which backfired when retailers failed to pre-order enough product to meet demand. These cards remain some of the hardest to find from the original Rage print run.

"War of the Amazon is a 140-card expansion set detailing werewolves' epic battle to save the Amazon Jungle. Players use their packs of Garou to protect Gaia from the machinations of Pentex, or play packs of Wyrm creatures that aim to defile and lay waste to the Amazon. The introduction of the Mokolé and Bastet, two new races of shapeshifters, brings a fresh collection of exotic and potent characters to both Wyrm and Garou packs."
