Queen Rachel is the now deposed ruler of the former Kingdom of Dew.
Overview[]
When King Baird of the Kingdom of Dew died, King Ross of Dalriada produced a letter, supposedly in Baird's hand, naming Ross as his heir. The nobles of the Kingdom of Dew sided with Rachel, Baird's wife, against Ross. Ross responded by immediately declaring war on the "rebels."
The armies met outside of Falkirk, but Ross's man, Duke Leyden, begged for a contest of champions to settle the fight. Rachel asked for the duel to be to the death, so a champion from each side took the field. When Rachel's champion gave his opponent a good blow to the head, the sidhe ripped off his helmet, proving to be Ross himself. Rachel's man was stunned and Ross took his head, claiming the day. Rachel lost. Ross drove her out of Caledonia quick as a flash and she ended up in Castle Windmoor in York under the protection of Lord Olave and Lady Spurn of the Kingdom of Heather, two of the few troll burgess to remain in power after The '69.
She has since not been seen for a year.
