Petrov Tzarovitch is a Homid Corax.
Overview[]
Tzarovitch is the son of Russian-Jewish immigrants. His family emigrated to the United States in the 1970s when his mother contracted leukemia and the family sought better medical attention than was available in the Soviet Union. His father, an artist, found his work very well received in the States, so the family decided to stay. Tzarovitch's mother died a few years later, while Petrov was still a young boy, leaving his father alone. His father began doing commercial art to provide for his young son and him, and he encouraged Tzarovitch to be a freethinker and to look past the surface value of things.
Tzarovitch's First Change came as quite a surprise to him. The young boy sat in his backyard, watching birds fly over his head, wishing he could do the same, when he felt his body began to change. Panicked, the young boy began to run toward his house, but suddenly found himself flying over his house instead. After recovering from the initial shock, the young boy began to enjoy living his daydreams and took advantage of the situation to perpetrate a few practical jokes on his father and the neighborhood children. Realizing that he would not be believed, he decided to keep his secret to himself. A few days later, another Corax arrived and taught Tzarovitch what he was exactly and all that it implied.
Tzarovitch still lives with his father, who has now retired, and he continues his studies to be a pilot; his first love remains the joy of flight. He frequents his mother's grave to "talk with" her and is the only "person" he's ever told of his dual life.
Tzarovitch has taken an active role in the War of the Apocalypse and in spite of some rather spectacular misadventures, has risen in rank rapidly. He is committed to removing the Wyrm's influence from the Tellurian, and he has the potential to be one of Gaia's greatest warriors.
