Osiris is a member of the Pesedjet pantheon and rules their Underworld, Duat.
Overview[]
In ancient times, Osiris was the king of Egypt until Set murdered and dismembered him. Isis managed to bring him back to life, but without his genitals. Since eunuchs couldn't be king, Horus succeeded his father and Osiris went to rule the realms of the dead.
He's had several thousand years to get over it. Now he is the ambassador of the Pesedjet, meeting with their Scions and keeping them on the side of the gods. He's persuasive and forthright, and it's only in hindsight that you realize what kind of nonsense you've agreed to. He has an aristocratic demeanor and usually dresses in linen suits; even when he masquerades as a mortal, his skin has an unnatural greenish cast. He's often mistaken for a business executive or foreign nobility of some sort.
Osiris cannot produce Scions in the usual way, but he can adopt a Scion disowned by another god. This means, on one hand, he can pick and choose his own children, but also that they are far less influenced by him, and bring more of their mortal selves into their new existence.
