The Order of Bianca is a secret, street-level society dedicated to saving changelings from the clutches of Banality.
Overview[]
Technically speaking the Order of Bianca is illegal, but most fae turn a blind eye to their activities. They have good relations with the Order of Eiliethyia and often share information and resources. While there are a few Nobles in its ranks, they are mostly a street-level motley of Commoner gallants who rescue their fellow Kithain from the most banal of enemies. They have even staged raids against Dauntain with fae prisoners.
Because of the nature of their work, they need large amounts of Glamour. They never steal it, of course because such a crime would be totally against their basic goals. They will, however, fib a little to gain entrance to a freehold and not all Kithain support them despite the Right of Rescue. Don't think these dissenters as selfish, they just want to preserve the lives of all fae and see the Order's activities as a terrible risk. After all, even High King David Ardry, who supports the Escheat, has instructed his subjects not to approach the Dauntain directly. (He has since instituted the Unbroken Circle as a noble equivalent of the Order of Bianca.)
Members of the Order can be identified by the chains they wear forged of tiny silver links.
