The Oath of the Unbroken Circle is the oath that makes a fae part of the Unbroken Circle, a society of Kithain that hunts down Dauntain.
Words[]
I, (name), vow to King David, to the kingdom of Concordia, and upon my blood on the sword Caliburn, to fight Banality wherever it arises, to rescue all Kithain who fall into its clutches, and to stop the depredations of the Dauntain whenever possible. I will not endanger other Kithain by needlessly exposing them to excessive Banality, except when the Kithain understands the risks and is willing to take them.
Overview[]
A Changeling who is to be initiated into the Order must first be knighted if they don't already have a title. High King David then holds Caliburn up so the oathtaker may grasp the blade with his or her right hand, hard enough to break the skin, and holds the blade while swearing the oath.
Effects[]
Upon swearing this oath, a kithain gains one permanent point of Glamour and one of Willpower for as long as they follow the oath. They also may reduce the difficulty of all social interaction rolls with other kithain, chimera, or other creatures of Glamour by 2.
The penalty for breaking the oath is the loss of one permanent Willpower point as well as permanent Glamour. They also loose all advantage due to Rank. They only way to cancel this is to take on a quest assigned by High King David to be accomplished in a reasonable amount of time.
