New Dijon was a small town in Canada which had become infested with the walking dead. It is particularly notable because it was one of the first confrontations between the U.S. and Canadian governments and supernatural forces.
Invasion of New Dijon[]
An agency within the U.S. government had developed technology to perceive another dimension, as well as detect the residents of that dimension. Their probe in the other dimension stopped transmitting. At the same time, their devices began detecting aliens in this dimension.
New Dijon came into focus as corpses began leaving their graves; the governments believed this was a result of alien intelligences controlling them. Both U.S. and Canadian governments deployed teams with flame throwers and other arms to destroy the walking dead. They were successful, but suffered significant casualties.
The official story is that New Dijon suffered an outbreak of rodent-born hantavirus; the town is now fenced off and cannot be accessed by civilians.
