Neutralization Specialist Corps

Overview

The Neutralization Specialist Corps (NSC) often work closely with the New World Order and strive to eliminate outside intrusions as well as 'sanitize' any proof of Reality Deviants.

Methodologies

• Neutralization Specialists: The NSC looks a lot like the NWO's Men in Black; visiting sites of UFO sightings together. While the MiBs question witnesses, these 'Ghostbusters' scour the area for any physical evidence and destroy it. Often nothing out of the ordinary happened. Sometimes these Engineers have to clean up after the MiBs who can stir up more curiosity than the UFO sighting itself. With their command of Dimensional Science the NSC go in, isolate the area, clean house, and make sure it doesn't happen again. Haunted House? It gets burned to the ground. Possessed Child? Exorcised with Science. Then they let the Men in Black make sure no one remembers it all that well.
• Enforcement Training and Conditioning Agency: The ETCA, occasionally called 'Et Cetera Engineers' behind their backs, is in charge of sanitizing the minds of Engineers. All operatives must go through the Sanitizing Program to prepare them for the otherworldly things they'll experience on the job. No one wants a Space Marine freaking out in a battle with extradimensional invaders or forgetting to close an airlock because they were thinking about something else. The regular ground of the Void Engineers can't be handled by most people without a little conditioning. This isn't brainwashing. In fact the ETCA undoes brainwashing. It's not good if the NWO turns a new recruit's brain into a mental sludge.
• Department of Psychological Evaluation and Maintenance: The DPEM is based out of the Descartes Institute of Mental Health, or DIMH, a large hospital laboratory Construct in the Cop. They evaluate Void Engineers' mental health through physical exams, questionnaires, and random interviews. Any Engineer showing signs of mental breakdown from Deep Universe or alternate reality stresses goes to the DIMH for treatment. This treatment can last from days to years depending on the amount of trauma.
