Najjar was an Assamite active in the Victorian Age and was a childe of the famous Antara of Cairo.
Biography[]
An Arab nationalist in life, Najjar fought against the oppression of his people by the Ottoman Empire. In doing so, he was forced to kill several of his clanmates that supported the Ottoman rule. Both sides appealed to the Du'at, but because Assamites of great influence fell on both sides of the struggle, and because the clan itself is unwilling to declare either side "morally wrong," they refused to interfere. Instead the Du'at insisted that Assamites on both sides cease killing one another. This was never obeyed.
