Sir Mortimer Evans is a mage of the Harbingers of Avalon, and occupies the Seat of Cardiff, Wales.

Overview[]

Sir Mortimer

A British public school boy through and through, Mortimer Evans grew up in an atmosphere of affluence and power. His grandfather and father built the family's wealth through shipping and since taking over the reigns of the multinational Evans Conglomerate, Sir Mortimer has managed to double the profits and prestige of his forebears. He has a staunch pride in Britain and wants nothing more than to create a new Camelot, where the law of the king is absolute and the good of the kingdom is all that matters.

Personality[]

Sir Mortimer believes with all his heart that Great Britain is the finest nation in the world. Perhaps the Empire has shrunk over the years, and perhaps certain members of the Royal Family have gone a bit astray, but such things are trivial. What matters is that the Harbingers of Avalon are on the verge of creating a mighty new British Empire, with absolute justice, law, order, and all things right and proper.

Appearance[]

Sir Mortimer is portly and balding but dresses well and remains a highly respectable member not only of the Cardiff elite but also of his alma mater, Exeter College. He loves to engage in "noble" sporting activities such as deer stalking, cross-country horseback riding, and skeet shooting. Evans exercises a quiet air of superiority around everyone, but is known to be quite warm and cordial among his closest friends in the Harbingers. Perhaps his favorite pastime is shopping and he refuses to buy imports. Instead, he frequents Burberrys for raincoats, Jaeger for suits and shirts, John Lobb for his shoes, and so on. He always stays at the Savoy in London and usually dines at Rules.
