Monster-X is a multinational company that sells goods and services related to the investigation and securement of paranormal phenomena. According to their slick marketing, if you've witnessed supernatural activity, Monster-X techs can come out and make some attempt to deal with it for you. They also make an significant ancillary profit off of selling consumer products designed to detect and deter the supernatural - often under the guise of lifestyle or novelty purchases. It all sounds crass because it is crass.
While there's no denying that some of Monster-X's technology actual works, it can be difficult to distinguish it from the snake oil. Combine that with the fact that its "techs" tend to be woefully undertrained and mostly ignorant of the occult, and Monster-X has developed a reputation among other organizations as the "pizza delivery" of monster hunting.
