Mitch Pendergrass was the husband and sire of Colleen Pendergrass.

Biography[]

A former tow truck operator, Mitch was abducted out on the road by a Sabbat pack while responding to a late-night call. He and several other people were the victims of a Mass Embrace, after which Mitch clawed his way out of the ground, cold, alone, and ravenously hungry.

Mitch eventually wandered back to his home in Duluth, Minnesota, wherein in a moment of frenzy he fell upon his wife Colleen. It was only after draining her dry did Mitch realize what he'd done and desperately smeared some of his blood over Colleen's mouth, recalling what his abductors had previously done to him. He collapsed into the daysleep soon after, only to be painfully reawakened when Colleen - now a Thin-Blood - awoke and accidentally set Mitch alight by pulling aside their bedroom's closed curtains and bathing him in sunlight. Mitch survived, but the differences of their shared condition were revealed to them that day.

Mitch and Colleen would eventually form a coterie with several other Anarchs, but their relationship - already rocky before the Embrace - would only continue to fray as the years wore on. After a close call involving a group of hunters while on the road to the Twin Cities, Mitch would resolve to leave both his wife and the coterie behind, retreating from society to un-live a solitary existence in the Minnesotan countryside.

It was during his time hunting out in forests that Mitch would have a chance encounter with a werewolf, which surprisingly ignored him despite it having the Gangrel dead to rights. Against his better judgement, Mitch tracked the Lupine's scent back to Minneapolis, wherein he ran into both Colleen and his former coterie - who were themselves fleeing the Mortician's Army.

Mitch would eventually team up with another former coterie-mate of his - the Brujah defector Cecily Bain - after she herself was attacked by a werewolf. On her behalf he and the Nosferatu King Rat tracked her down her attacker... only to discover the rest of its pack. Despite Mitch's best attempts to parley, the enraged Garou were in no mood to talk, destroying him as a warning to the other vampires of the Twin Cities.
