Mictlan is a Spectre from Mexico City, who in life was a follower of the vampire Methuselah Mictlantecuhtli.
He renamed himself in death to honour his master.
Overview[]
As Mictlan says:
"I'll tell you one secret, no more, no less. I could leave here anytime I want to. I simply choose to stay. I followed the true Mictlantecuhtli in life, I impersonate him in death. The living are such easy prey...."

Trivia[]
- It's unclear whether or not Mictlan was Mictlantecuhtli's ghoul or childe, though it is highly likely that they're meant to be a Mortwight given what their concept implies.
- In Tales from the Trails: Mexico, a Xibalba Mummy is also referred to as Mictlan; they share the same core concept and backstory of being fervent followers of the vampire Methuselah Mictlantecuhtli. It is highly likely that these two characters are meant to be one and the same, given how much their stories parallel each other, with the only differences being their races and the masters they serve. The spectre Mictlan serves Oblivion, and the mummy Mictlan serves the Storm Eater, a Bane of the Wyrm.
