The Masks were a Shadow Lord secret society camp. They were mostly stamped out by Revised, but there are a few of their members that still survived.
Overview[]
The Masks revere only one avenue to power: instilling fear. Their devotion to the hideous nature of falsehood is so fanatic that they practice mutilation upon themselves to inspire horror in their victims. Their dark arts seeks a form of unholy spiritual perfection: killing foes not through violence, but by pure, undiluted terror. Shadow Lord Galliards know many tales of the Masks, and it is whispered that some of the most nefarious Lords of the Summit have been taught Gifts by the same spirits that obscure the activities of the Masks.
It is rumored that the Masks have also formed alliance with a few of the remaining Nictuku, but as only a few superstitious Nosferatu vampires believe in the presence of such creatures, the charge is extremely doubtful.
Known Members[]
- Skin-of-a-Thousand-Cuts
- Hakaken (Formerly)
Revised Tribebook[]
Until recently, a highly secretive cabal of Shadow Lords calling themselves the Masks terrorized many of lower-ranked members of the Lords, as well as any humans unlucky enough to cross their path. They lived on the fear they caused, and their perverse fascination with that emotion led them to commit acts of depravity that matched even the foulest acts of the Wyrm. With the rise of the Margrave, they have been fairly stamped out. While some Masks may yet remain, the vast majority have been given the punishments they so richly deserved - sometimes at the hands of the Judges of Doom, but more often by whole packs of Garou who simply refused to tolerate such lunacy for even a minute longer.
W20 Corebook[]
A secret society devoted to instilling fear in their enemies, the Masks' dedication to their dark arts is so fanatic that they purportedly practice ritualized mutilation upon themselves to inspire greater horror in their victims. Since the unknown is the playground of fear, no true Mask ever reveals their membership in the camp to outsiders, save for those who are targeted for indoctrination into their numbers.
Leadership within the tribe consistently claims to have stamped the Masks out of existence. Whether this is accurate or not remains to be seen, but Shadow Lord Galliards still sing many of their tales as a warning to others.
