Mark Frankel was an actor who starred as Prince Julian Luna in VTM: Kindred: The Embraced , the television show based on Vampire: The Masquerade.
In 1991, Mark married Caroline Besson, and they later had a son, Fabien. In September of 1996, Frankel was killed in a tragic motorcycle accident. He was only 34. His second son, Max, was born after his death.
Mark's death was a contributing factor in Fox's decision not to renew the show for a second season, so that they would not have to replace the actor or the Prince.[1]
