The only serious competitor to the Realm and the military backbone of the River Province, Lookshy is the stronghold of the Seventh Legion, the last First Age military organization in Creation. Lookshy is a city-state dedicated to warfare and the largest repository of First Age technology remaining in Creation. It is also, after the Realm, the largest surviving concentration of Dragon-Blooded anywhere in the Age of Sorrows.
Unlike the Realm's Scarlet Dynasty, the Exalted of Lookshy retain the Gentes clan system of the Shogunate. Lookshy's Gentes are Amilar, Chan, Gherin, Karal, Kirigasa, Maheka, Marui, Mehela, Nefvarin, Nerigus, Teresu, Toriki, Varil, Yushoto, and Yu Tan.

Lookshy was founded on the ruins of Deheleshen by the Seventh Legion, the last remnant of the Shogunate's armies, in Bronze Phoenix 5 (RY 20).[1]
