Janet Kirby, Iron Master Irraka member of the Lodge of Ilia
The Lodge of Ilia is a lodge devoted to urban environments.
Overview[]
The Ilians are an old lodge; their patron spirit, Lupa Capitolina, claims to be the very wolf who suckled Romulus and Remus before they founded Rome. They regard cities as just another territory, like a forest or a desert, and would no more manipulate the growth of the city than call a tree farm a forest. Instead, they nurture urban loci and work with the spirits of buildings, monuments and neighborhoods.[1] Unlike the Lodge of Stones, the Ilians rarely interact with the actual spirits of their cities, and have no interest in shaping or manipulating them. Still, the two Lodges work in secrecy to come to an understanding.[2]
Initiation into the lodge requires a sort of scavenger hunt across five cities, which the Ilians are careful to have set up well in advance of any recruitment. The challenge usually ends in the Hisil, where the prospective recruit must not only demonstrate that they have completed all their tasks and upheld the Oath in the process, but must articulate some insight or revelation they've had about the city as a territory.[3]

Prerequisites[]
Streetwise •
Benefits[]
When in a city with a particular identity -- such as a motto, nickname, or community ethos -- an Ilian can tap into that identity to gain +1 to actions that resonate with it. For example, acts of compassion in Philadelphia, "The City of Brotherly Love," or acts of violence in whatever city has recently been designated "the murder capital of the world," would qualify for this bonus. [4]
Rites[]
Eyes of the City (••): By rubbing the soil or water of a place into their eyes, this rite allows Ilians to view the essential nature and spiritual health of a city or neighborhood.
