The Lands of Faith are those countries (primarily in North Africa and the Middle East) bound by the Web of Faith.

Overview[]

The Middle East is the cradle of Western civilization and the source of the three Abrahamic religions. Many of the holy sites in this region were built specifically to channel spiritual energy to one another, forming an enormous lattice called the Web of Faith. While the original builders of the Web of Faith are gone, the Web itself remains and is tended by sorcerers and mystics of all descriptions.[1]

The Spell of Life must be performed in the Lands of Faith, preferably on the sacred soil of Egypt. When a tem-akh joins with a recently-deceased mortal, it has seventy days to reach the Lands of Faith and find someone capable of performing the Spell; otherwise, the mortal body will begin to decay. This journey is called the hajj.[2]
