Ko'leel is a Dragon Chimera and guardian of Kaliandrana's Grotto on the island of Kauai in Hawaii.
Overview[]
Ko'leel is a powerful chimera that bears the semblance of a traditional Eastern Dragon. Her body is very streamlined, almost snakelike versus the traditional mammoth reptilian Western archetype. Her face resembles a lion, rather than the traditional western dragon, and huge whiskers jut from her eyebrows and cheeks. Her scales reflect the Glamour-produced light, scintillating a myriad of colors from silver to pink to blue, all metallic in sheen. She has no wings and instead moves through the air in a serpentine motion, gliding along air currents, moving on the winds of Glamour.
She was a loyal subject of Kaliandrana years ago. She was charged with the protection of the grotto and takes her job very seriously. Passionately devoted to the memory of her friend, she still carries on her position to this day. No human or faerie has penetrated the area since her mistress's death.
She knows the power of the two coral rings given to Kaliandrana and Kaiau by Pele and is sworn to protect them from those who are not worthy of possessing them.

Kaliandrana's Grotto[]
Kaliandrana died centuries ago and, since then, the tectonics of the island have shifted enough to plunge her grotto underground. It is entered through a hole in what appears to be a small hill.
Beyond the hole is a tunnel leading underground. It is damp, but not unpleasantly so. The air here is fragrant with the scent of flowers. Fluorescent lichen produces a dull glow, giving off soft yellow light. The ground is hard-packed dirt; the walls are stone. It does not appear that anything has touched the place in a very long time. Glamour can be felt radiating from the area ahead... a large underground grotto.
A waterfall cascades from the wall of the grotto into a pure, cleat pool in the center of the chamber. The ground is fine sand, and the pool gently laps against the shore. Tropical flowers bloom about the room; from the walls, on the age of the lake, and around the falls, their natural sustenance taken from the rivulets of small streams about the grotto. The warm breeze comes off the water, seated with sweet jasmine and salt air. The hidden grotto is pen above, which allows some sunlight to filter through the chamber.
The rings lie on a stone behind the waterfall. The stone is a piece of volcanic glass jutting up form the floor. The rings are in the concave center in a pool of Glamour-infused water.
