This Taoist sect of the Cult of Ecstasy first appears in the Mage Rulebook. They originate in Asia and are distinguished from the Akashic Brotherhood by their extreme practices that seek a balance between the chaos of a world without boundaries, and the discipline of the trained mind and body.
The Tradition book casts a different light on them, one that some might see as contradictory. In the book, they are described as not merely seeking balance but seeking perfection through extremes. As Taoism itself warns against both perfection and extremes, this is understandably a little odd.
They were deemed by the Chinese government to be dangerous dissidents to their society and seemingly hunted near extinction. The remaining few in this day are by the majority very closed mouthed about their practices, and although still mainly in Asia, a few have migrated to the Americas.
